Installing the Master Membership Tab App

Navigate to the app store in your Commerce7 admin panel and click on the Master Customer Tab App. You need to have an Admin Owner role to see this page.

Click on the INSTALL button to install the application. After the installation is complete, it will appear under the Club menu page from your admin panel.

The Master Membership Tab App Settings

Before you start linking your customers across your brands (tenants or instances), you will need to install the Master Membership Tab App across all of your Commerce7 instances to be able to link them together.

The Master Membership Tab has four Settings: General, Link Tenants, Tags, and Mapping

  • You will find the unique API Key for that instance in General Settings. This key is used to verify and link your tenants across Commerce7.

  • Link Tenants is where you’ll link all of your tenants.

  • Mapping is where you’ll map which clubs will trigger the assignment of tags for the tenant, and Tags is where you’ll manage and add tags that the app will use across tenants.

From your admin panel, go to the Club menu page. From there, click on Master Membership App, then click on General.

Here you will find your tenant name and your API Key. Go ahead and copy your API Key.

Once you have copied your API Key, head into the Master Membership App but on your second tenant (that is, a different store than the one you copied your API Key to).

From your admin panel, go to the Club menu page, click on Master Customer, and then click on Link Tenant.

Click on Add Link Tenant

In Tenant, type in your tenant's name, and then in API Key, paste the API key you previously copied.

Finally, click on Save

To fully finalize your tenant's link-up, you’ll need to go to the General Settings of your second store, the store where we just added the tenant link. Copy your API Key, then go back to your first store and repeat the Add Link Tenant process.

To summarize, the way the Master Membership Tab App Link tenants is to add a Link Tenant through their unique API Key across all of your stores. So, for example:

Let’s say Treefrog owns three brand stores. Each brand is what we call a tenant, and each tenant has its own unique tenant name and API Key.

So to link all three tenants across all of commerce7, all of them should have installed the Master Customer Tab, and the linking process will be something like this:

Brand 1 should have under Link Tenants:

  - Brand 2

  - Brand 3

Brand 2 should have under Link Tenants:

  • Brand 1
  • Brand 3

Brand 3 should have under Link Tenants:

  • Brand 1
  • Brand 2

How to add Tags and Map your clubs

With the Master Membership tab, you can assign tags to be used across your tenants and map which clubs will trigger the assignment of tags for each tenant.

Inside tags, you can manage all associated tags and create new ones. To create a new tag, click on Add Tag

Add a name for your tag, then click save

How to view customer information across your Commerce7 instances

Once you have linked all of your tenants, you’ll be able to view your customers’ information across all of your instances through the customer detail page:

The customer detail page can be found under CMR -> Customer, then click on the customer you wish to view.

Inside, you’ll find an overview showing whether they're active on any club membership. A blue box indicates they’re active in more than one club.

You will also find a Master Membership tab where you can see your customers' information, such as their Status, Clubs they are part of through your tenants, and Signup Date.
