The Master Customer Tab App Settings

Before you start linking your customers across your brands (tenants or instances) you will need to install the Master Customer Tab App across all of your Commerce7 instances in order to be able to link them together.

The Master Customer Tab has two main Settings: General Settings and Link Tenants.

In General Settings you will find the unique API Key for that instance that is used to verify and link your tenants across Commerce7.

Link Tenants is where you’ll actually link all of your tenants.

How to Link Tenants in Master Customer Tab App

Head into the Store menu page from your admin panel. From there click on Master Customer App, then click on General Settings.

Here you will find your tenant name and your API Key. Go ahead and copy your API Key.

Once you have copied your API Key, head into the Master Customer App but on your second tenant (meaning on a different store than the one you copy your API Key).

Head into the Store menu page from your admin panel, from there click on Master Customer App, then click on Link Tenant.

Click on Add Link Tenant

In Tenant type in the name of your tenant then in API Key, paste the API key you previously copied.

Finally, click on Save

To fully finalize the link-up of your tenant, you’ll need to head into General Settings of your second store, meaning the store where we just added the link tenant. Copy your API Key then head back into your first store and repeat the Add Link Tenant process.

To summarize, the way the Master Customer Tab App Link tenants is to add a Link Tenant through their unique API Key through all of your stores. So for example:

Let’s say Treefrog owns three brand stores, each brand is what we call a tenant. So each tenant has its own unique tenant name and API Key.

So to link all three tenants across all of commerce7 all of them should have installed the Master Customer Tab and the linking processing will be something like this:

Brand 1 should have under Link Tenants:

  • Brand 2
  • Brand 3

Brand 2 should have under Link Tenants:

  • Brand 1
  • Brand 3

Brand 3 should have under Link Tenants:

  • Brand 1
  • Brand 2

How to view customer information across your Commerce7 instances

Once you have linked all of your tenants, you’ll be able to view your customer’s information across all of your instances through the customer detail page:

The customer detail page can be found under CMR -> Customer then click on the customer you wish to view.

Inside you’ll find a Master Customer tab where you’ll be able to see your customer information like Lifetime Value (LV), # of orders, Last order date, Club, and Most Recent/Upcoming reservation date.
