Installing the Avalara Consumer Shipping Report App

Navigate to the app store in your Commerce7 admin panel and click on the Avalara Consumer Shipping Report app. You need to have an Admin Owner role to see this page.

Click on the INSTALL button to install the application. After the installation is complete, the application will show up under the Reports menu page from your admin panel.

Exporting Shipping Orders with the Avalara Consumer Shipping Report App

To export your shipping orders in the Avalara format you’ll need to run an order report. To run an Order Report, first head into Reports from your Admin panel then click on the Order Reports. 

From there, scroll down until you see the Avalara Consumer Shipping Report option and click on it. 

Once inside the Avalara Consumer Shipping Report window, select a start and end date for the data you wish the report to export. Then click on Submit

Once you click submit several things will happen:

1. The app will run the report and you will get a notification stating that you will receive an email with the report shortly
2. You will also see the report you submitted listed on the same window below the submit button. 
3. When the report is done you should receive an email with the report attached for download.

Once the report has been processed, you can also download it from within the app. By this time, you should also have received the email containing your report.

You should keep in mind that the Download Link expires within 24 hours. 

How to download reports with Alcohol Percentage

In order for your report to have the field PCT_ALCOHOL representing the Alcohol Percentage of an item fill, you'll first need to create a metadata data inside your Commerce7 Admin Panel.

From within your Admin Panel, select the Developer option, then click on Meta Data, then click on the Product.

From the Product Meta Data, click on Add Product Meta Data.

Then fill out the fields as follow:

Title: Alcohol Percentage

Code: alcohol-percentage

Data Type: String

Sort Order: This field, refers to the list order of your product metadata data. So if the Alcohol Percentage is the first field you want to see when viewing your product metadata list, then type in 1.

When you're done click on Save Product Meta Data.

Once you have created your metadata, then you'll need to add the alcohol perctange for each of your products. From within the Admin Panel, head into Store then Products.

Select the desired product, then inside the product detail page, click on Meta Data.

Scroll down until you see the Alcohol Percentage Meta Data, once you located it you'll nee to type in the percentage. For example this Pinot Noir wine has a 15% Alcohol Percentage, so we have type 15 on the metadata field.

When you're done click on Save Meta Data.

You'll need to select and type in the alchol percentage for each product that needs to have an alchol percentage.
